Talking therapy can help us to understand how events and people in our lives can shape our behaviour and how we see the world and other people.

I also offer Walk & Talk Therapy sessions which incorporate an element of Mindfulness alongside spending time outdoors in nature.

Counselling

Counselling is a form of Talking Therapy which involves talking to a trained therapist about thoughts, feelings and behaviors that may be causing problems or distress.

I offer one to one counselling appointments either online or in person in my office. Each session lasts 50 – 60 mins and some clients find that a couple of sessions are all they need whilst others benefit from a course of appointments and check in every few weeks, it all depends on the individual and what feels most helpful.

I know that starting counselling can feel really daunting especially if you’ve never tried it before, so it’s my job to support you through the process and help you get the most out of your sessions.

Before committing to anything I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation, with no obligation to book an appointment. This gives us the opportunity to chat about what’s going on for you at the moment and discuss how talking therapy could help.

Counselling appointments - office based in person or online at £60 per hour (£55 for 16 to 18yr olds)

LIFE COACHING

Life Coaching helps with managing change, setting goals, planning and prioritising, and decision making. It involves a personal wellbeing assessment, setting achievable outcomes and goals, identifying self-limiting beliefs and barriers to change and formulating a set of strategies to maintain personal development and sustainable change.

Life Coaching is available as a package of four one hour coaching sessions over four months and monthly check in appointments allow clients to practice new strategies and review progress regularly. It includes a personal Wellbeing Assessment, setting outcomes and goals, identifying blocks to change, implementing self-care strategies and maintaining sustainable change.

Life Coaching packages are offered at a special reduced rate of £200 for four coaching sessions over four months (£50 per session*)

Walk & Talk Therapy

Walk & Talk Therapy is increasingly popular as the health and wellbeing benefits of outdoor therapies such as Eco therapy and Forest Bathing are increasingly recognised as effective ways to reduce anxiety and stress.

Counselling or Life Coaching sessions can be held in a Walk & Talk setting, walking outdoors in green spaces can be very grounding (helping with anxiety management) and different scenery can encourage new perspectives on things (helping with low mood) and gentle movement supports general wellbeing. A mini guided Mindful Walk can also be incorporated into Walk and Talk sessions as a way of introducing Mindfulness techniques to help with mood management.

Walk & Talk appointments last up to an hour and cost £60.

There are a range of practical issues to consider with Walk & Talk Therapy so the first appointment would always be an office based face to face session to discuss suitability and practicalities, and this service is only available for female clients over 18 years.
